A HIGHLY POLISHED VW CAMPER LINES UP NEXT TO A VW BEETLE RAT ROD IN STARK CONTRAST
Being a car lover (despite driving a pretty boring run about at the moment), I had to have a little nose around the Cornwall Volkswagen Owner's Club's (CWVOC) biggest event of the year - the VW Jamboree at Stithians show ground.
On Saturday 26th August, I followed a friend's bright blue VW Caddy pickup to the show ground - which I felt in some small way qualified me to be there as a VW enthusiast. Although of course the family event welcomes all.
VWs in many different styles descended on the field - from the highly polished lovingly restored to the very unique rat rods and everything in between.
VW KARMANN GHIA OWNED BY MR. MARTYN DUNSTAN
One of my favourite vehicles on show was this beautiful VW Karmann Ghia. As I was photographing it, a fellow admirer commented - "There's not a bad line on it" - to which I totally agreed.
I didn't take many photos, but a the few vehicles pictured here really stuck out for me. Next year I'll try to take some more photos!
